UCE TO VSS-UT --the journey so far....
so everyone out there.....the UCEians.....do u still believe our demads hav really been answered .......i mean frankly speakin there are hardly any visible changes......as for me,i don't see any. Since last year there has been much ado about the name but what about the more important things .We are suffering from a scarcity of teachers,we don't have a wi-fi net connection(note the irony ,we are the oldest technical college in Orissa) and etc etc..........Will somebody tell me (may be because i am quite ignorant of what is happening at the higher level) ....what this "unitary status" tag has done to make me feel that our demands have really been answered. Our seniors toiled day and night for this tag......we got it..now what????????? i am clueless..........i really need to see a change......

Well for me i am still confused that how far we are from deemed status..
ReplyDeletei think we all have been working hard for it ..We need know when we will get there..any way for immediate context i also dont see any changes but may be its too early to say this..lets just wait n see!!

a govt notification will arrive perhaps in jan.
there will be an VC who may be an IAS , a OAS registrar, a board of directors which may include people 4rm NITR,IIT ORISSA & 2-3 of our alumni.
annualy there will be a grant of 15 crore for the coll development.these r what we r getting info from the seniors directly involved in it.
we r not lucky enough to see the development of the coll on 350 acres of land & a amount of 400 crores acc to the plan proposed by the alumni assoc.
presently all ve need is a dynamic VC who can apply his visions & ideas for the coll.
DO U KNOW the golden jublee closing ceremony is most probably on feb 8 & also foundation day of VSSUT.

ReplyDeletedude the govt of orissa doesn't have even a paisa to spend......takin loans from all over the place...and you expectin it to give our coll crores...
ReplyDeleteforget the money.....but the infrastructure needs improvement.....and damn y was the college named veer surendra sai......i haven't even heard of that guy except from the medical college name....
